Casimer J. ‘Casey’ Miller
March 12, 1932 — March 5, 2016

Casimer J. “Casey” Miller died peacefully on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at the age of 83 years. He was the forever sweetheart of June (nee Long) for 64 years; loving father of Steven (Kathy), Pam (Troy) Schutz and Brian (Kerry); proud grandpa of Courtney Gansmann, Kenneth Gansmann, Nicholas (Natalie), Sarah, Amy and Kelsey; adoring great-grandpa of Diego and Maritza; and dear brother of Patricia (the late Raymond) Berndsen and Jerome (Inge). He was also the dear brother-in-law of Gerald (the late Carolyn) Long and Ronald (Bonnie) Long. He is further remembered by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters Elizabeth Ann (the late John) Wirtz, Richard (the late Doris), Mary Anderson and Lynnette Miller.

Casey was a very proud veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean Conflict. He was an active member of the New Berlin VFW Post #5716. Casey was privileged to experience the Honor Flight. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and a good martini. He was an avid Packers fan.

Visitation will be today, March 9, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha, from 6 PM to 8 PM. Additional visitation will be Thursday, March 10, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, S89-W22650 Milwaukee Ave., Big Bend, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM, followed by the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Entombment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the New Berlin VFW Post #5716 would be preferred.
