Maxine B. ‘Max’ Leon (nee Sylvester)
Feb. 18, 1941 — March 8, 2016

Maxine B. “Max” Leon (nee Sylvester) passed from mortal life to eternal life on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Angels-Grace Hospice at the age of 75. She was born on February 18, 1941, in Washington, D.C., the daughter of Nathan and Elizabeth Sylvester.

Maxine is survived by her best friend and love, John A. Woehlert and Gimpy, her cat; son, David (Susan) Leone of Parkville, Maryland; granddaughter, Emily Katherine Leone of Parkville, Maryland; brother, Michael H. (Barbara) Sylvester of Waukesha; sisters by choice, Judy Larrabee of International Falls, Minn., and Julie Richichi of Baltimore, Maryland; and many other friends at the Eagles Club Auxiliary of Waukesha and Encore Cancer Support Group of SE Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by her beloved cat, Fritz.

The visitation for Maxine will be held on Tuesday, March 15, from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7:00 p.m. at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188.
