Gladys R. Spilger
Gladys R. Spilger of the Town of Lisbon passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 21, 2016, at the age of 79. She was born in Platt, the daughter of Henry and Lillian Wallschlaeger.
Gladys graduated from Waukesha High School in 1954 and married the love of her life, William Spilger, on June 20, 1964. Gladys enjoyed the outdoors and traveling with William, they went on three cruises. She was a golfer, bowler and an avid bingo player; most of all she loved playing with her granddaughter.
Gladys will be sadly missed by her husband, William, of 51 years; her daughters, Sheryl (Chris) Welter and Katherine Spilger; and granddaughter, Kyra Welter. She is further survived by nieces Suzanne Luebbe and Sandra Steiner; other relatives and friends. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings.
A visitation for Gladys will be held on Monday, March 28, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. A second visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 29, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Peace Lutheran Church, W240N6145 Maple Ave., Sussex, WI 53089. Entombment will follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family or the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75231, would be appreciated.
