Thomas Richard (Dick) Greene Sr. passed away peacefully on Monday, March 21, 2016, at the age of 87, leaving behind a loving family.
He will be deeply and forever missed by his wife, Nancy (nee Falconer), and his children Roger, Russell, Barbara (Dan) Albrecht, Edward (Tracie), Harriet (Doug), Joseph (Angela) and Charles (Melissa). He is survived by his sister Harriet; sisters-in-law Judith and Elana (Steve) Hunjadi; and lifelong friend, Al (Sally) Testolin. He is further survived by 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and by many nephews, nieces, additional family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Marjorie, son Thomas Jr., and daughter Sandra. He was also preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters.
Dick was a well-respected over-the-road truck driver, and was retired from Trek bicycle. He achieved an award for 1 million safe driving miles without an accident, which is 20,000 hours of driving a 65-foot semi-truck through rain, snow, ice and sleet, around the clock, not to mention through all kinds of traffic. He was given a one-of-a-kind gold bicycle with his name on it as well as a clock that he was very proud of. Dick will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Dick’s life. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. noon with a service to follow at noon at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha. Interment to follow at Forest Hill Memorial Cemetery Pewaukee.
