Marjorie A. Mahler
Marjorie A. Mahler of Waukesha passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 78. She was born in Granville, N.Y., the daughter of William and Marjorie Mack.
Marjorie graduated from New York State College for Teachers. She received her masterís from the University of Albany, N.Y., and worked as a market research administrator for Bombardier Inc. as well as a teacher at Wells Central, Fort Ann Central, and Notre Dame, all in northern New York. Marjorie enjoyed being part of the Franklin County Historical Society and Waukesha County Museum. She was active in many churches: Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Middle Granville, N.Y., Notre Dame in Malone, N.Y., Sacred Heart in Homestead, Fla., St. Maryís in DeKalb, Ill., and St. William Catholic Church in Waukesha. Marjorie also liked to travel;, but loved being a mother most of all.
Marjorie will be sadly missed by her husband, David; children, David J. Mahler, William R. (Pattie) Mahler, John J. Mahler, Anne (Mary) Mahler, Suzanne (Roy) Brown and Christine Mahler; grandchildren, Brandy Ann, Melissa Rose, Brandon and Ian; and great-grandchildren, Aidan and Brody. She is also survived by a brother, William (Celia) Mack, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Funeral Mass for Marjorie will be held on Monday, March 28, at 10:00 a.m. at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. The Rev. Curt Frederick will be officiating. A second service and burial will take place in New York at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, 442 S. Demazenod Drive, Belleville, IL 62223; or Franklin County Historical Museum and Society House of History, P.O. Box 388, 51 Milwaukee St., Malone, NY 12953-0388, would be appreciated.
