George F. Cavaleri
July 8, 1946 — March 27, 2016
George Frank Cavaleri, age 69, of Arkdale, formerly of Waukesha, was
received into heaven to sing his first solo in God’s choir on Sunday,
March 27, 2016. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April
2, 2016, at Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship. The Rev. Richard
Druckery will officiate. Visitation will be 12:00 noon until the time of
service on Saturday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.
George was born July 8, 1946 in Waukesha to Joseph and Frances (Migach)
He graduated from South High School in Waukesha.
George was drafted into the United States Army on Dec. 13, 1965, where
he was stationed in Germany. He was honorably discharged on Nov. 24,
He married Shirley Mae Kochie on April 20, 1968 in Milwaukee, George
retired from Briggs & Stratton after 31 years. During his retirement he
drove a school bus for Dairyland Bus Company and Head Start.
He enjoyed making people laugh and was always quick with his humor.
George had the voice of an angel and loved playing guitar. He played in
the bands Creation, Four of a Kind, and Hollywood Knights. George was an
avid car collector; a few of his favorite cars were the 1939 Cadillac
LaSalle, the 1958 Chevy, the 1969 and 1971 Chargers, the 1963 Impala,
the 2004 Mustang Convertible, and the 1987 Lincoln. He also enjoyed
hunting, fishing, motorcycling, snowmobiling, relaxing in his pool, and
most of all spending time with family and friends. George was known as
the “Godfather” of the family. He was also known as Sugar Bear, the big
B!@*h, Geo, Uncle G, Italian Stallion, Paisan, Papa, Georgie Porgie,
Dad, Guitarzan, My Honey, and Mr. C.
George was a member of the Waukesha Old Car Club for many years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph (Helen) Cavaleri; mother,
Frances (Merlin) Migach-Smart; brother, Joseph Michael Cavaleri Jr.;
brother- in-law, Frank “Bill” Bonus.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Cavaleri of Arkdale; daughter, Ange
(Robert) Orne of Waukesha; son, Anthony Cavaleri of Arkdale, formerly of
Waukesha; sister, Rosemary Bonus of Arkdale; grandsons Harley Smith,
Zackery Smith and Tanner Orne of Waukesha; an uncle, Carl Patrinos, of
Oconomowoc; and is further survived by many godchildren, nieces,
nephews, relatives, and close friends.
