Mary Margaret ‘Maggie’ McFadzen |
Feb. 15, 1934 — March 26, 2016
Mary Margaret “Maggie” McFadzen (nee White) went to heaven on March 26, 2016, at the age of 82. She was born in Elgin, Ill., on Feb. 15, 1934, to Irish American parents Villanova and Robert White and was preceded in death by her brother Robert White and husband, Tommy. She was the proud loving mother to Michael, Robby, Katie (Sean), Annie (Bob), Molly (Eric) and Mary Pat (Luke) and adoring grandmother of Grace, Aidan, Cullen, Casey and Elliott.
She was educated at Iowa State Teachers College, moved to Milwaukee and instantly met her best friend and husband of 49 years, Tommy. Most important was her faith, family and food. She loved a good party, a sharp joke, football and all things “Irish.” Her home was a revolving door for friends and family to eat, drink and be merry. A devoted parishioner of St. Luke Catholic Church since 1972, she spent 25 years performing in productions of Show-Time and was a longtime member of the choir.
A memorial gathering will take place from 10 a.m. to 10:50 a.m., followed by the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial on Saturday, April 2, 2016, all at St. Luke Catholic Church, 18000 W. Greenfield Ave., Brookfield, WI 53045. Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery in early spring. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the church.
