Ellen R. KletzkeEllen R. Kletzke of Waukesha, formerly La Crosse, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 3, 2016, at Linden Court in New Berlin at the age of 95. Ellen was born in Juneau on October 28, 1920, the daughter of Robert and Rose Bentz (nee Wittwer).

She was baptized, confirmed and united in marriage to Julius Kletzke at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Juneau. After her marriage in 1947, she moved to La Crosse and became a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she belonged to the Motherís Club, Ladies Aid and Owls. In 2008, she moved to her daughterís home in Waukesha and became a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Ellen worked as a receptionist at Gunderson Health System, where she was a member of their auxiliary and was a volunteer for many years.

She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Kletzke of Waukesha, and nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius; one sister, Lilian Last; and two brothers, Edwin and Harold Bentz.

The first visitation for Ellen will be held on Thursday, April 7, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the 1:30 p.m. funeral service at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1052 White Rock Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. The second visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 400 West Ave. S., La Crosse, WI 54601). Burial will immediately follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church (see address above).
