Richard ‘Dick’ Rudolph BahrRichard “Dick” Rudolph Bahr died on March 30, 2016, at the age of 86.

Richard was the beloved husband of 64 years to Carol D. (Behrend); father of Dona (John) Zsori, Wanda Bahr, Cindy (Jeff) Krysinski and Jill (Bill) Mattson; grandfather to Paul Zsori, Heather Engel, Amber Hudspith, Jessica, Matthew and Emily Krysinski, and Brian Weiss; and great-grandfather to Autumn Frederick and soon-to-be baby girl Hudsipth. He is further survived by his sister, two brothers, along with lots of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudy and Agnes, and two brothers.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War and survived the Chosen Reservoir Battle of Nov-Dec 1950. Richard worked as a home construction builder in his younger years in southeastern Wisconsin and then as a master cabinetmaker at the VA Center in Milwaukee for 25 years. Richard operated a sharpening business for a number of years out of his home, plus he was a handyman who fixed and constructed various items for numerous people.

Service will be held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hartland on April 16, with visitation from noon to 2 p.m., with service to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Semper Fi Fund, AngelsGrace Hospice or the charity of the donor’s choice.
