Deonna J. Haines (nee Forman)
April 15, 1939 — April 17, 2016

Deonna J. Haines (nee Forman) of Pewaukee passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, April 17, 2016, at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age of 77. She was born in Gibson City, Ill., on April 15, 1939, the daughter of Roy and Catherine Forman.

She was raised on a farm in Elliot, Ill. Deonna met her husband, Wally, while attending the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana where she received an education degree in art and English. Wally and Deonna were married in 1961. Deonna and Wally raised their family in Madison and Pewaukee. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to everyone she met. Her contagious enthusiasm for life brought joy and love to every person she touched. Deonna was an incredible artist, avid bridge player, golfer, sailor, bowler, gardener, actress and a devoted Christian.

She will be missed by her children, Todd (Kim) Haines of Genesse, Manley (Kim) Haines of Summit and Kim (Tobin) Tornehl of Pewaukee; grandchildren Catherine (Ben) Paro and Olivia (children of Todd and Kim), Emma, Wally and Sophie (children of Manley and Kim), Red and Gloria (children of Kim and Tobin); and sister Patty (Vern) Yates of Del Mar, Calif. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Wally.

The visitation for Deonna will be held on Saturday, April 23, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Both will be held at All Saints Lutheran Church, 705 W. Tomlin Road, Wales, WI 53183. Burial will immediately follow at Summit Cemetery.
