Janice Marie Conway
May 11, 1932 — April 15, 2016
Janice Marie Conway, 83, died Friday, April 15, 2016, at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc.
Jan was born May 11, 1932, in Manitowoc, to Ruth Langlois and Daniel Crooks. She was retired from a teaching career and continued that teaching spirit into her retirement as she volunteered to tutor immigrants looking to gain United States citizenship.
A local Waukesha resident for more than 40 years, she enjoyed the theater and local entertainment and weekly bingo games at Rivers Edge apartments, where she last resided. She was well-known on the Waukesha Metro transit system. She was a pen pal to local elementary school students. She spent the last few of her working years as a volunteer at Waukesha County Museum. She had many friends from many walks of life and was able to communicate with them equally.
She will be remembered and missed by many including her sons, Dean (wife Stephanie) and David Conway; grandchildren Courtney Conway and David Patrick Conway; and great-grandson David Andrew Conway.
The family will be planning a memorial service later in the year and will notify friends and family via social media.
