Alvin F. Kind

Alvin F. Kind, 88, died Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at his home in Waukesha. He was born August 15, 1927, in Waukesha, to Albin and Joanna (nee Urbanke) Kind. Alvin had worked at Waukesha Foundry for 45 years until retirement in 1993. He then began working for Medicare Vans part time in 1995 and finally retired in 2007. Alvin enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid gardener. He will be sadly missed by his bride of 51 years, Beverly J. Kind (nee Lucht); his children Gary (Amanda) Kind of Berrien Center, Mich., Allen (Stephanie) Kind of Waukesha and Lucinda (Michael) Croft of Slinger; his grandchildren Daniel and Benjamin Croft, Braeden and Owen Kind, Anna Kind and Dharma Satya.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Norman, Roman, Oswin, Herbert, Bertram and Arnold Kind; and his sister Anita Schebo; as well as many other relatives.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 8, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. with a service to follow at 4 p.m. at the Waukesha Community SDA Church, 21380 W. Cleveland Ave., Waukesha, WI 53151.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Clement J. Zablocki V.A. Medical Center in memory of Alvin F. Kind for the Palliative Care Unit.
