Brian L. Rupnow

Brian L. Rupnow, 69, of Jefferson, died on Monday, May 23, 2016, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.
He was born on February 4, 1947, in Watertown, the son of the late Denis and Jeanette (Scofield) Rupnow.
In 1965, he graduated from Lakeside Lutheran High School in Lake Mills, graduated from WCTC in 1972 in police basic training, and from MATC in 1999 with an electronics Technician Degree. Brian married Lorraine Frankiewicz. She preceded him in death.
He had been a Vietnam War veteran serving in the U.S. Army and was discharged in May 1972. He had been employed as a Deputy Sheriff for 29 years by the Jefferson County Sheriff Department.
Survivors include his brother, Richard (Beverly) Rupnow of Watertown; two sisters, Ruth (Karl Flintrop) Rupnow of Brookfield and Elizabeth Garner of Madison; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorial services were held Saturday, May 28, at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1530 S. Main St., Lake Mills.
If desired, memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans or the Jefferson County Deputy Sheriff’s Association.
