Richard L. Foncannon
April 20, 1948 — May 27, 2016
Richard L. Foncannon, age 68, passed peacefully into eternal life at his home in Acapulco, Mexico, on May 27, 2016 after complications from exposure to Agent Orange while serving in Vietnam.
He is survived by his four loving sisters: Diana Foncannon Webb (Steve), LuAnna Foncannon Lakey (Phil), LeeAnna Foncannon East (Jay), and Wendy Foncannon Fields. He was very proud of his 11 nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Edwin K. and Dolores J. Foncannon.
Richard (Dickie) was born April 20, 1948, and graduated from Waukesha South High School in 1966. Following his Army service, he joined his father in starting E& R Machine Products in Waukesha.
After 37 years in business he retired in 2007 and moved to Acapulco, but returned to Wisconsin periodically. In recent years Dickie was particularly sacrificial in the loving care of his aging mother, feeling especially privileged to be holding her hand when she passed in 2015.
Dick said he was happy he would be greeted in heaven by Jesus and his dear mother. Dick was known for his generosity, love for his friends and relatives, and a passion for gardening. He loved his Acapulco and had made plans to be cremated there.
He simply wished to be remembered with thoughts, prayers, and happy celebrations on his behalf.
