James F. Sprenger
James F. Sprenger of Oconomowoc died June 3, 2016, at age 89.
He was the loving father of Mark (Barb) Sprenger and Christine (Fred) Spytek. He is further survived by his grandchildren John (Kristen) Spytek, David (Val) Spytek, Kate (Dan) Linaugh, James (Ariane) Sprenger and Jennifer (Jamie) Morton, and great-grandchildren Jack and Alaia.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; his second wife, Lorene; son Jeffrey; and great-granddaughter Evelyn.
After serving in the U.S. Coast Guard in World War II, Jim returned home to attend and graduate from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 1950. Upon graduation, Jim went to work at the Ladish Company, where he spent his entire career until retiring in 1990 as SVP, director of purchasing and materials management. Jimís greatest passions were attending UW football games, playing golf and spending time at his summer home on Charleston Lake in Ontario, Canada.
