Charles R. ‘Chip’ Droege
Charles R. “Chip” Droege of Hartland passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at the age of 62.
Chip was a wine aficionado, marketing fine wines from all over the world. Chip’s passion for reading was lifelong. A devoted Brewers fan and avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and being on the water. He was a genuine family man who adored his grandchildren. He enjoyed board games, puzzles and playing cards.
He will be remembered by his wife of 24 years, Mary Kay Hammes, and his children Charles “Chuck” Droege (Julie Wroblewski), Chris (Tricia) Droege and Erin (Joey) Kimmons. He was the proud grandpa of Jakob, Makenzy, Lukas, Camden and Cooper. In addition, he will be missed by his mother, Joan Droege; his sisters Julie and Joy; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Droege.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 25, at the Evert-Luko Funeral Home, 170 Warren Ave., Hartland, from 12:00 noon until a time of remembrance at 1:30 PM, followed by a reception.
In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the Hartland or Delafield public libraries.
