Mike Burns Grimm
Nov. 28, 1942 — June 18, 2016
Mike Burns Grimm, a longtime Waukesha resident, died on Saturday, June 18, 2016, at his home at the age of 73. He was born in Wisconsin Rapids on November 28, 1942, the son of Glen and Rachel (nee Burns) Grimm.
Mike was a 1961 graduate of Pacelli Catholic High School and a 1968 graduate of UW-Stevens Point. On March 26, 1974, he married Joyce Thorson. They were members of St. William Catholic Church in Waukesha. Mike worked for many years at UPS as a driver and later in their maintenance department. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.
He will be sadly missed by his loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Joyce of Waukesha, and their daughters Rachel (Eric) Halverson of Greenfield and Janet Grimm of Madison. He is further survived by his sisters Margaret (William) Kingsbury of Lansing, Mich., and Mary Wilson of Waunakee, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 30, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. Father Curt Frederick will preside.
