Jose Manuel Acosta|
June 2, 1972 - June 30, 2016
Jose Manuel Acosta of Palmyra died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 44. He was born in Mexico on June 2, 1972, the son of Guadalupe Acosta Shanklin.
Jose was a 1989 graduate of Waukesha South High School. For the past few years, he was employed at the Smoke Pit in North Prairie. Jose was a kid at heart who enjoyed making people laugh with his great sense of humor. He was a huge movie buff and enjoyed reading and comics. Most of all, he loved being with his family and he will always be remembered for his kind nature and zest for life.
He will be forever missed by his loving mother, Guadalupe Acosta Shanklin; his "favorite sister" Jessica Cheema (just kidding); his real favorite sister Marjorie (Michael) DeSandre; and his cherished nephews, Ethan and Noah. He is further survived by his aunts and uncles Aurelia Acosta, Pepita (Epifanio) Lazcano and Roberto (Josefina) Acosta, along with many cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 6, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Services continue on Thursday, July 7, at the funeral home beginning with prayers at 9:30 a.m. followed by the procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., for the 10:30 a.m. funeral Mass. Father Javier Bustos will preside. Graveside services will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the family.
