Lois F. Edwards

Lois F. Edwards, a lifetime Waukesha resident, passed away on July 16, 2016. She was born in Waukesha on September 3, 1934, the daughter of the late George and Edna (nee Erbach) Dahms.
Over the years, Lois was employed at a variety of places in Waukesha including Johnson Cookie Factory, The Style Shop, Dutchland Dairy, Waukesha Memorial Hospital, Sunset Foods and J & L Gas. She started Checker Cab Co. and ran it from 1974 until 1980. In 1984, along with her husband Earl, they opened Best Cab Co. and ran it until it was sold after Earl’s death in 1993. Her call number was 13. Lois enjoyed bingo, “Mattlock” and game shows.
Lois is survived by children Craig Hibbard, Keith (Cathy) Hibbard, Deana (Kurt Sr.) Frost and Bruce (Peggy) Hibbard. Lois is also survived by grandchildren Michael (Ashley), Michelle, Andrew, Megan, Melody, Shannon, Erin, Kurt Jr., Megan (Daniel) Kaitlin (Jay), Benjamin, Courtney, David, Zach, Brittney and Brandi; great-grandchildren Kaydence, Tessa, Peyton, Emily and Evelyn; and sister-in-law Margaret Dahms. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Lois was preceded in death by infant daughters Pamla Jill and Tamra Joy; husband, Earl, in 1992; brothers George (Katie), Floyd (Betty), Edward (Maybelle), Donald, Robert and Raymond Dahms; and sisters Margaret (Jake), Jeanette (Les) and Ellen (Lawrence).
A memorial gathering will be held Thursday, July 21, from 4 PM to 6 PM at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha, with a memorial service at 6 PM.
