Jeanette L. Aeppler (nee Wilbert)
Jeanette L. Aeppler (nee Wilbert) of Oconomowoc, age 94, supported by her daughters, Susan and Linda Aeppler, was welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord and reunited with her dear husband, William “Bill” on Saturday, August 6, 2016. She is survived by her sister Marion Thurk (nee Wilbert); her nephew Mike Thurk; and nieces Sharon Mahder and Debra Ellingson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elsie and Carl Wilbert of Mequon.
After graduation from Carroll College, Jeanette held several business positions in the Milwaukee area. While motherhood and family were her main focus, she was active in Women’s Club of Oconomowoc and volunteered in church, community and public school organizations. In her earlier years, she was involved with Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and later joined the First Congregational Church, where she participated in the Faith Circle. Jeanette worked in her husband’s businesses, Aeppler Orchard and Wisconsin Orchard Supply, for 55 years.
Visitation will be held from 12 PM noon until the time of the funeral service at 1 PM on Friday, August 12, at the Shorehaven Chapel, 1305 W. Wisconsin Ave., Oconomowoc. Following the service, a private burial will be held at Summit Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to AngelsGrace Hospice, Shorehaven Lutheran Home, or First Congregational Church of Oconomowoc are appreciated.
