Ned William WeberNed William Weber, 93, of Whitewater, formerly of Fort Atkinson, died on August 2, 2016, at Fairhaven.

Ned was born at his parents’ home in Milwaukee on December 20, 1922, to William and Olive (Gaulke) Weber. He graduated from Wauwatosa High School in 1941.

Ned served in the Army 88th Infantry in Italy from February 1943 to November 27, 1944.

He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1948 with a Bachelor of Science degree in the dairy industry.

Ned worked as a laboratory technician at Carnation in Oconomowoc from July 1951 to December 31, 1988, where he tested evaporated milk from other processing plants.

Ned enjoyed classical music.

He married Evangeline Frey on September 28, 1957, at the Waukesha Bible Church in Waukesha.

While living in Ixonia, Ned and Vangie volunteered at the Park Lawn School in Oconomowoc, Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, and for the Waukesha County Disabled American Veterans. After moving to Fort Atkinson, they volunteered at Faith Community Christian School and the Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital Partners until moving to Fairhaven in August 2010.

Surviving are his daughter Julie (Kevin) Ellis of Oconomowoc and grandchildren Corbin, Parker and Sydney.

Ned was preceded in death by his wife, Evangeline, on May 31, 2012; his parents; and a brother, William Herman Weber Jr., on January 2, 2010.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 9, at the Faith Community Church, W5949 Hackbarth Road, Fort Atkinson, with Pastor Rusty Lyon officiating. Burial was in Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha.
