Barbara J. (Payne) Cramlet
Barbara J. (Payne) Cramlet, 76, of Estero, Fla., formerly of Delafield, peacefully passed away at her Delafield home on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Barb was born in a farming community in west central Minnesota, the second eldest daughter of 10. Barb entered into holy matrimony July 2, 1960, to her beloved husband of 56 years, Richard (Dick) Cramlet. Barb had a successful 40 year career as a hair stylist, owning and operating Special Effects in Hair Design in Delafield for many years. Barb had a generous heart for giving back to the communities she resided in from Wisconsin to Florida, volunteering and serving whenever she could. Barb and Dick retired in 1994 and traveled to all 50 states and abroad before becoming Florida “snowbirds.”
Barb’s hobbies included painting, quilting, cooking, traveling, reading, an occasional trip to the casino and a special passion for all things Alaska. Gratefully, she passed many of these talents on to her children and grandchildren through endless hours spent together making memories. As our matriarch, Barb instilled the values of faith, family, hard work, fairness and generosity in her loving family that we will strive to emulate for generations to come as we miss and honor her forever.
Barb is survived by her husband, Richard (Dick) Cramlet; children, Bradley (Colleen) Cramlet, Stacie (Jimmie) Trail, Leslie (Brad Bella) Boerger, Tony (Jennifer) Cramlet; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Barb was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister and son-in-law.
A memorial Mass was celebrated on August 20 at St. Charles Catholic Church, 313 Circle Drive, Hartland.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks any monetary donations be made to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center, Primary Peritoneal Cancer Research. www.lombardifoundation.org.
