John Michael McGuire, age 57, of Mercer, formerly of Waukesha, was called to eternal rest in the early morning hours of Aug. 11, 2016, at his home with his family by his side.
John was born in Waukesha to his parents Robert and Ann (Mittelstadt) McGuire. He attended high school at Waukesha South.
John enjoyed living in the North Woods and fishing the beautiful lakes and streams of northern Wisconsin.
John is survived by his loving wife, Dee (Bodnar), and three loving children Savannah, Gabriel and Trinity; mother, Ann (Mittelstadt) McGuire of Waukesha; brother, James McGuire of Waukesha, and sister, Jennifer (McGuire) Haessly of Arbor Vitae, formerly of Waukesha.
John was preceded in death by his father, Robert McGuire; his grandparents, Herman and Eleanor (Rupnoe) Mittelstadt and William and Anna (Pugh) McGuire; and aunt Ann McGuire, Donald and “Gin” (Winzenreid) Mittelstadt, all from the Waukesha area.
A small private funeral service was held Saturday, Aug. 13, at the Mercer Cemetery, where John was laid to rest among the beautiful pines of “Up North” Wisconsin that he loved.
