Frank Jr. ‘Bubba’ Markle

Frank Jr. “Bubba” Markle, age 83, of Wildwood, Fla., and a native of Waukesha, passed away Sept. 3, 2016.
He was born April 10, 1933, the son of the late Frank and Mary Adler Markle.
Frank was a Korean War veteran, serving in the U.S. Army, and was a member of the Korean War Veterans Association.
Frank was the owner-operator of the Butzen-Markle vending company in Fond du Lac. He also worked for the Winnebago Beverage Distributor in Fond du Lac and was former bartender and manager of the Circle Inn Tavern in Waukesha. Frank was a member of the Wisconsin ASA Hall of Fame and award-winning third baseman and manager. His softball career spanned from 1951 to 1976, leading his team to six consecutive Wisconsin ASA state championships.
Frank passed away in a Bushnell, Fla., nursing center on Sept. 3, 2016, after a long illness.
He is survived by a loving wife, Mary L. Markle (Lambert) of Wildwood, as well as daughters Kim (Jim) Ransom of Oconomowoc, Paula Caracci and her companion Larry Fabisiak both of Pewaukee; and one brother, David (Charlotte) Markle of Oconomowoc.
Frank is also survived by four grandchildren: Chad LeBeau, Andrew (Brook) LeBeau, Ann (Ryan) Pannenmann and Paul Caracci, and one great-grandson, Drake. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Katie, Barbara, Carol, Tudy, and brother Jack.
