Joseph M. Schulz |
May 13, 1963 — Sept. 7, 2016
Joseph M Schulz (aka Joe Jett) born May 13, 1963, in Oconomowoc, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2016, after a long battle with ALS. He was surrounded by family when he passed, as he had wished.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Peterson (Lee Peterson).
He is survived by his father, Peter Schulz (Harriet), brother David, nephew Alex, niece Lindsay and great-niece Brooklyn.
Joe worked for Wright Tree Service early in his career, ending his career there as a supervisor. He went on to work at IPTI, which is where he ended his career.
Joe loved sports. He was an incredible athlete. He played with many different softball teams over the years and was notorious for doing back flips on the field following a home run. He also loved to play volleyball, ski, kayak, play with his two yellow Labs, Elwood and Jake (named after the Blues Brothers), and spend time with friends and family.
He was loved by all who knew him. He touched many lives and inspired many people both before and during his fight with ALS. He had an incredible sense of humor, an unforgettable laugh and a true love for life. He was a fighter until the very end. He will live in our hearts forever.
