Sharon Bassler
April 28, 1936 — Sept. 8, 2016

Sharon Bassler (nee Van Gemert) was born to eternal life Sept. 8, 2016, at age 80. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gordon, and her daughter Pamela.

She is the loving mother of Daniel (Diane) and very special grandmother of Karen (Erik) Ruud. Sharon is also survived by her grandson Nick (Erin) Narloch and great-granddaughters Hannah Ruud and Finola Narloch and great-grandson Blake Narloch. She is further survived by many other loving relatives, nieces, nephews and friends.

Born on April 28, 1936, Sharon was raised West Milwaukee and graduated from West Milwaukee High School in 1954. Shortly after, she married the love of her life, Gordon Bassler and soon after the couple relocated to Waukesha, where they raised their two loving children. Sharon was an enthusiastic lover of classic movies, westerns, sci-fi, horror and a loyal follower of Svengoolie and many other TV shows. She loved art and with the help of Bob Ross she became an “amazing” self taught painter. Sharon also greatly enjoyed gardening, reading, music, cooking, shopping and always had a major sweet tooth.

Sharon had a most wonderful smile and a sweet, loving personality. She will be dearly missed.

Visitation for Sharon will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 11 AM to 1 PM at Wisconsin Memorial Park Chapel of the Chimes, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield, with a funeral service at 1 PM.
