Peter A. Lamp

Peter A. Lamp, a lifelong resident of Waukesha, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2016, at the age of 68 years. He was the son of David and Eulalia Lamp.

Peter proudly served his country as a combat soldier and was a Vietnam Army veteran. He was a life member of VFW Sullivan Memorial Post 10604, the Disabled American Veterans, Military Order of Purple Heart, and was wounded twice during his service time. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunting, fishing, camping and gardening. Peter was also and animal lover and he coached adult softball for over 30 years.

Peter will be sadly missed by his children, Shannon Rae (Gilbert) Garcia of Waukesha, William Lamp of Waukesha and Roberta (Robert) Rutley of Milwaukee; grandchildren Dominic, Maddax, Kiah and Sophia; brothers Darryl Lamp, Daniel Lamp; sister Virgina Wallerman; and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Dale Lamp and Jimmy Lamp; brother-in-law Doug Wallerman; sisters Heidi Lamp and Annette Lamp; and cousin Harvey Lamp.

A special thanks to his friends, Peggy and Ken Schirmacher, and cousins Larry, Don and Tom.

A visitation for Peter will be held on Thursday, September 22, from 3:00 p.m. until the 5:00 p.m. funeral service at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. Full military honors will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated for a charity later.
