James Edward Allen

James Edward Allen of Oconomowoc passed away after a brief illness at the age of 77 years. Jimmy lived over 20 years with his loving sister Bernie and the last years of his life with his niece Laurie Brooks, who he dearly loved. Jimmy loved living out in the country watching all the wildlife. This was home.

Jimmy worked for the City of Oconomowoc from May 1965 to July 28, 2006. He was a member of the 32nd Red Arrow Division of the National Guard, Oconomowoc.

He is survived by his daughters Jami Greve of Pewaukee, Michelle (Andy) Wietecka of Oconomowoc; one grandson Cody Blehovde; and granddaughter Sayde Greve. He is further survived by brothers Bobby (Gloria) Allen of Horicon, Dale (Linda) Allen of Ixonia and Bill Allen; sisters Darlene Allen of Watertown, LaVerne “Bernie” (Bruce) Peterson of Mapleton and Mary Allen of Watertown; and sisters-in-law; Barb Allen, Delores Allen and Diane Allen. Jimmy dearly loved all his nieces and nephews; his loving and very special long time family friend Doreen Dunn; and his beloved cats PoohJoe and PepperJean.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret; father, Theddaus Allen; brothers Donny, Ted, Sherman and Lyle; sister Marlene; and niece Tina Nichols.

Visiting hours will be for Jimmy’s daughters and their families will be from 11:00 am until 1:00pm on Saturday, October 8, at the Schmidt & Bartelt Notbohm-Kreutzmann Funeral Home, 121 S. Cross St., Oconomowoc, and from 2:30 pm until 4:30 pm for his brothers, sisters, other relatives and friends, also at the funeral home.
