Sally G. Zimmermann, 85, of Wooster, Ohio, died Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at Smithville Western Care Center, in Wooster.
Sally was born February 7, 1931 in Waukesha, to Wallace and Anne (Nielsen) Guderyon.
She married John Zimmermann on August 2, 1952. He died June 1, 2015.
Sally worked for the U.S. Postal Service and was the Town of Summit treasurer.
She was a long time member of St. Jerome’s Parish in Oconomowoc, where she was a member of the choir. She was recently a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Wooster.
Sally was a life master bridge player and enjoyed golfing, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Sally will be deeply missed by her children James (Wendy) Zimmermann of Wooster, and Dr. Ellen (Dr. Greg Christman) Zimmermann of Gainesville, Fla.; grandchildren Mike (Joanna), Patrick, Robert (Dr. Amanda), and Emily Zimmermann, Dr. Jane and Bradley Christman; and great-grandson Wesley Zimmermann.
Sally was preceded in death by her husband, John; sister Virginia Cornelius; and brother David Guderyon.
The family would like to express special thanks to the staff at Smithville Western Care Center and Sprenger Hospice for their kind and attentive care.
A memorial service will be held at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church in Oconomowoc and burial will be at the Town of Summit Cemetery in Wisconsin at a later date.
