James M. Sidders Sr.
James M. Sidders Sr. of Pinehurst, N.C., passed away on October 22, 2016, at the age of 83. A warmhearted dad who strove to give character and strength to his children: Jim (Linda), John (Dana), Mary (Don), Blaine (Kathy), Theresa, Cathy (Linda) and Tim (Jennifer); stepfather to Dan (Polly), Julie (Dave), Kelly, Lori (deceased) (Tim) and Kim (Bryen); devoted and loving husband to Elizabeth “Fred” Sidders for 25 years; special grandpa to all of his grandkids; and baby brother to sister MaryJane. He is also remembered by nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Blaine and Elizabeth Sidders; brother Patrick; first wife, Patricia; daughter Elizabeth and granddaughter Nicole.
Jim worked in two different occupations, 13 years as a paint salesman and 25 years in the foundry business as a salesman and sales manager. He had affiliations at Milwaukee Athletic Club, Watertown Country Club, Lac La Belle Country Club and later in life, Whispering Pines Country Club. Jim served on the board of the American Foundryman’s Association.
Jim was educated at De La Salle High School, followed by St. Thomas College, both in the Twin Cities.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm on Friday, November 4, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Delafield. A memorial Mass will follow in the church at 12:30 pm.
To know Jim was to love him! He was a man of integrity whose strong presence couldn’t help but impress. A strong Christian and all in all, a great guy who was loved by many.
