Edmund J. Vojtik of Waukesha passed away peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016, at age 83.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Nancy (nee Crowley); his stepdaughter, Nancy Ellen ďNickiĒ Kane; and his beloved parents, Edmund and Helen Vojtik.
He was the loving brother of the Rev. Jim Vojtik. Ed is loved and will be remembered by many cousins, other relatives and friends.
Special thanks to Edís caregiver, Claudia (Philip) Barron, for her loving and compassionate care, and to Rachel Lewis for her gift of life in donating a kidney to Ed in 2004.
Edís family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, Nov. 4, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2400 W. State Road 59, Waukesha, from 10 am to noon. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon. Private burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Edís name may be made to St. John Neumann Parish, the Kidney Foundation, Evans Scholars Foundation, the Kettle Moraine School District Scholarship Foundation or the Wisconsin Parkinsonís Association.
Ed was the recipient of the Evans Scholarship Award from Tripoli Country Club. He was a retired school psychologist from the Kettle Moraine School District and former member of the Waukesha Public Library Board. Ed was a longtime mentor and tutor for hundreds of students in need.
