John R. Marshall |
John R. Marshall passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 1, 2016, at age 74. He was the loving husband and best friend of Coleen (nee Kober) for 48 years; beloved father of Ruth (Chad) Lawson and Dan (Heather) Marshall; proud grandpa of Parker, Grant and Luke; and dear brother of Richard (Pat) Marshall and Dianne (Stanley) Kopaczewski. He is also loved by nieces, a nephew, other family and friends.
John graduated from South Division High School in Milwaukee and went on to graduate from St. Olaf College in 1964. He joined Waukesha Rubber Company, Inc. in 1966 as an accountant. In 1975, he and several colleagues purchased the company and John became CFO, eventually becoming president. He sold the business in 1999 and retired in 2000. He served on the Waukesha School Board from 1982 to 1992, the last three of which he served as president. John was an avid model railroader and loved going to Disney World. He was also a longtime member of St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Brookfield.

Visitation will be at the Krause Funeral Home, 21600 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield, on Monday, November 7, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Visitation continues at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 8, from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jennifer Arnold presiding. Burial at Highland Memorial Park to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Waukesha Memorial Hospital, HAWS, or the Hope Center, Inc. of Waukesha.
