Marlin Thomas Dupler

June 17, 1993 — Nov. 13, 2016

Marlin Thomas Dupler, age 23, of the Town of Genesee, died Sunday morning, November 13, 2016, at the Aurora Medical Center in Summit.

Marlin was born on June 17, 1993, in Elgin, Ill., the son of Roger T. and Charlene A. Kautz Dupler. He lived in Elgin until moving to the Town of Genesee in 2000. Marlin held several jobs over the years, including working at a fish farm in Iowa. Most recently, Marlin worked for Super Sealers in Dousman.

Music was a driving force in Marlin’s life. He began piano lessons at 7 years old. He attended Kettle Moraine High School, where he played the stand-up bass for the high school orchestra and the jazz band. Marlin was a member of the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra. Marlin played in many local garage bands. He moved on to tour and record with the Evan Stock Band, specializing in contemporary blues.

Marlin was happiest when with family. He greatly enjoyed many family fishing trips, playing cards and watching the Badgers and Packers. Marlin loved his pets — Chives, Lady, Poppy and especially Sally. What he enjoyed most was hanging out with his brothers, riding bikes, playing ball, climbing trees and pulling pranks on them.

Marlin is survived by his parents, Roger and Charlene of the Town of Genesee; two brothers, Everett Douglas Dupler of Stevens Point and Charles Robert Dupler of the Town of Genesee; his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Sandra Dupler of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his maternal grandmother, Judy Kautz of Genoa City; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harold Kautz.

A gathering of friends will be held from 9:00AM until the time of the memorial Mass at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 26, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, S38-W31602 Wern Way, Genesee Depot.

In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to Kettle Moraine Education Foundation, in memory of Marlin Dupler.
