Harvey Lee Leighton of Waukesha passed away November 16, 2016. He was born in Iowa City, Iowa, on January 28, 1940, the son of Harvey T. and DeLoris Hook Leighton. Harvey was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He enjoyed spending time with his family, enjoying the outdoors, hunting, bow hunting, fishing, ATV riding and vacationing in northern Wisconsin with his family at his vacation home. Harvey was a hard-working man who dedicated his life working at Ace Vending / Canteen Corp. for 42 years. He went on to work at Menardís part time for five years. He will be truly missed, as well as his wonderful stories, by everyone who knew him.
Harvey was the beloved husband for 54 years to the late Judith (nee Petersen).
He is survived by son Harvey Theo (Lisa) Leighton; daughter Lisa L. Leighton; granddaughters Kayla A. Peterson-Leighton and Shelby G. Leighton; and sister DeLora (Dennis) Lepinski. Harvey is also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A memorial gathering for Harvey will be held on Saturday, December 3, from 1 PM to 3 PM at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha, with a memorial service at 3 PM.
