Marlene Marie Rutta
Marlene Marie Rutta (nee Teskey) was born to eternal life on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at the age of 81 with her family by her side. She was the loving wife for 59 years to Rhody; cherished mother of Scott, Randy (Crystal), Julie (Dana) Rogahn, Rick (Julaine) and Robb (Dee Dee); and devoted grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of three. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lorraine Teskey.
Marlene grew up in Pewaukee. Growing up, she spent time showing her horse “Shortie” at events. She participated in Waukesha County Fairs and parades. She graduated from Asa Clark Memorial High School in 1953 in Pewaukee, where her interest in school was cheerleading. Marlene graduated from Alverno College with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. She practiced nursing for over 25 years at Waukesha Memorial Hospital in the E.R. She later moved to other areas of management. She was an active member at St. Luke’s Church in Brookfield for over 50 years. After retiring, she enjoyed traveling, gardening and spending time with friends and her family.
Visitation will be Friday, November 25, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha, from 5 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. Internment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery on Saturday, November 26, at 10:30 a.m. (please meet at the office). In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated.
