Albert BorskiAlbert Borski, 89, of Richland Center, died peacefully at his home Sunday, November 27, 2016. He was born May 21, 1927, in West Allis, the son of Alexander and Stephanie (Klobucher) Borski.

Al served in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1947, serving in Dachau, Germany, as a technician fourth grade. On June 20, 1953, Al married Patricia McCarten in Darlington. They met at a dance, and continued dancing together for 56 years. Al worked at Allis Chalmers for 30 years as a steamfitter. He enjoyed being outdoors: hunting, fishing, ice fishing, and spending time working on his perfectly manicured lawn. Al was very proud to have gone on the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C., in October of 2012.

Al is survived by three daughters, Robin (Steven) Ziemke of Cazenovia, Cheryl (John) McNurlin of Cazenovia and Marilyn (Bruce) Creasey of Richland Center; seven grandchildren, Joel (Amanda) Borski, Alex Ziemke, Riley (Bill) Huebsch, Shauna (Jason) Marcellus, Caitlin (Sean) Harschutz, Devon McNurlin and Matthew Whetstone; four great-grandchildren, Sydney Perry, Miles, Ezra and Sylvia Huebsch; brother William (Peggy) Borski of Brookfield; sister Patricia (David) Komar of New Berlin; sister-in-law Ann Borski of Gresham, Oregon; brother-in-law James (Norma) McCarten of Rockford, Illinois; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Al was preceded in death by his parents; wife Pat; brothers Ed and George; sister- in-law Betty; a grandson Steven Whetstone; and a great-grandson, Jullian Whetstone.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 2, at 11:30 AM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel, 120 N Park St., Richland Center, with pastor Alice Richards officiating. Military honors will be performed by the local Veterans Military Memorial Honors Unit. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, at the Pratt Memorial Chapel from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at 11:30 AM.

The family suggests memorials in Al’s name be made to the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 13.
