Lucille M. March, age 90, of Plover, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, December 1, 2016, at her home.
Lucille was born July 2, 1926 in Gould City, Michigan, the daughter of Frank Oliver LaRose and Minnie Rushford. She married Donald J. March on November 21, 1949, in Milwaukee. The coupled settled in Pewaukee and in 1985 moved to Waukesha. In 2004, they moved to Stevens Point to be closer to their daughter and grandchildren.
During WWII, she worked as a candy striper at a hospital in the Milwaukee area. Lucille was a wife and homemaker and she was very proud of that. She was an excellent cook and made the best apple pies you’d ever want to taste.
Lucille is survived by her husband of 67 years, Donald J. March; her two children, Gary March of Chicago and LuAnn (Jack) Elsinger of Stevens Point; two grandchildren, Robin (Joel) Falk and Daniel (Kayde) Elsinger; and two great grandchildren, Nathaniel Elsinger and Gianna Falk.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Clara Jaeger, Emma Schlotthauer and Leona “Mae” Lentz; and brother Frank LaRose.
A private memorial will be held, with burial at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha.
