HARTLAND/ OCONOMOWOC |
Anne P. Foster
Anne P. Foster of Hartland and Oconomowoc passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, surrounded by her family and friends.
Born in Columbus, Ohio, to Glenna and John Pryor, Anne was a graduate of Upper Arlington High School and attended The Ohio State University and was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority. She treasured her lifelong friends from Columbus and Urbana, Ohio, and the time she spent in Kinder Key and Vaud-Villities, as entertaining was always her passion.
In 1966, Wisconsin became her home and she continued blessing her family and many friends by tirelessly giving of herself to them and the community. She touched many lives while working at Methodist Manor and Rogers Memorial Hospital. She was a past president of the Kettle Moraine Garden Club, on the board of the Waukesha County Community Foundation, and shared her talents, enthusiasm and fundraising capabilities to AngelsGrace, Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, Ten Chimneys and the Lake Country Free Clinic. She was proud of her participation in starting the Red Bus, whipping up gourmet food for regattas and commodore’s picnics on Pine and Oconomowoc Lake, bonspiels at the curling club, the Garden Club and making fun happen wherever she went. She and her husband, Ray, were young sweethearts who celebrated life together and enjoyed traveling around the world. She always had a smile on her face, and her smile and infectious laugh were her trademark. She lived life to the fullest.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Raymond O.; three daughters, Deborah (Peter) Lin, Lisa (Mark) Werner, Linn (Steven) Freedman; seven grandchildren: Marissa (Benjamin) Cirker, Brian (Amanda) Lin, Joanna (Keon) Briggs, Amanda and David Werner, and Samantha and Adam Freedman; and three great-grandchildren, Chloe Lin, Quentin Briggs and Evan Cirker. Anne was deeply loved and will be missed by many. She was an amazing wife, mom and friend and always gave more than she received.
A special thanks to the caregivers at AngelsGrace Hospice.
A celebration of Anne’s life will be held on Monday, Dec. 26, at 11:00 a.m. at Chenequa Country Club. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to AngelsGrace or the Waukesha County Community Foundation. Full obituary and online condolences may be made at www.evertlukofuneralhome.com.
