Lenore J. Deerr (nee Jeannotte) was born to eternal life on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, at the age of 94 years. She was the loving mother of Suzanne (Thomas) Drasch, Paulette (James) Koeppen, Skip (Donna), Ronald (Debra) and Daniel (Susan); loving grandmother of Amy Drasch, Tina (Kevin) Pannicke, Thomas Jr. (Sharon) Drasch, Julie Koeppen, Gail (Daryl) Pladies, James (Lisa) Koeppen, Lisa (Jason) Roter, Robin (Paul) Wakefield, Byron IV Deerr, Jerimy Deerr, Trenton Deerr, Jennifer (Kevin) Brusso, Katie (Andrew) Kress, Sarah (Brian) Grossmeyer, Rebecca (John) Lorenz, Joshua (Jamie) Deerr, Katrina (Paul) Moldenhauer and Caleb (Nicole) Deerr; proud great-grandmother of Dustin, Naomi and Brandon Josi; Erika and Bradley Pannicke; Stephanie, Emily and Brett Pladies; Aaron and Alex Koeppen; Gwen and Jill Roter; Ellie Wakefield; Evan and Kyla Deerr; Ashley, Chase and Gianna Brusso; Everett, Navy and Roman Kress; Nadia and Brody Grossmeyer; Landon and Harper Lorenz; Suzannah Moldenhauer and Jolene Deerr; and adoring great-great-grandmother of Liam; dear aunt of Michelle (George) Reckin, Donald Jr. (Debra) Fabian, Matthew Sr. (Renee) Fabian, Gabrielle (Ron) Brockway and the late Mark (Jane) Fabian. Lenore will also be remembered by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Byron, and her sister, Joan (the late Donald Sr.) Fabian.

Lenore was a 1943 graduate of Mount Mary College and later served as a second lieutenant in U.S. Army during WWII. She retired as head dietitian at St. Mary’s Hospital in 1984. Lenore loved to travel and spend time with her sister. She was a phenomenal cook. One of her specialties was making pasties. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, playing the piano, traveling and watching “Jeopardy.” Some of her fondest memories were the times she spent with her family in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 13, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha, from 4:30 p.m. until the memorial service at 6:30 p.m. Private inurnment will be at Wood National Cemetery, Milwaukee.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Salvation Army or Milwaukee Rescue Mission.
