Jose A. SanRoman

Jose A. SanRoman of Waukesha passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017, at the age of 83 years. He was born on May 12, 1933, in Havana, Cuba, the son of Marcelino and Maria SanRoman.

He was born to a large family of nine brothers and sisters. He worked for many years at Industry Casting Molds, Bucyrus Erie and then later at General Castings for 35 years, retiring in 1995. Jose was member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was part of the Alano Club of Waukesha for 43 years, contributing money and his knowledge to keep the club open when they were going to close. The Alano Club was his second family, and he was passionate about helping Waukesha residents struggling with alcohol, cocaine, heroin and narcotic addictions.

He is survived by his sister Caridad Maseda and nephews Angel and Jose Maseda, along with other relatives and friends. The family would like to extend great appreciation to Dale Piippo who helped Jose the last two years of his life and became part of his family.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 26, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the 6:00 p.m. funeral service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Deacon Scott Cambell will preside. Burial will take place at 9 a.m. on Friday January 27, at St. Joseph Cemetery. Please meet at the cemetery.

The family requests no flowers, rather please make a donation in Jose’s name to the Alano Club of Waukesha, 318 W. Broadway Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. He felt it was a place where people could get help and rebuild their lives to be a productive part of the community.
