Gail M. Linstad (nee Taylor)Gail M. Linstad (nee Taylor) passed away peacefully at AngelsGrace Hospice on Friday, February 10, 2017, after a short battle with cancer at the age of 77.

She was born December 21, 1939, at Summit Hospital, the youngest daughter of Daniel E. and LaVerne (nee Marriott) Taylor. She attended St. Jerome Grade School and graduated from OHS in 1957.

She married Lawrence R. Linstad of Milwaukee in 1959, and the two made their home in the suburban Chicago area, near O’Hare Airport. Intrigued by the airline industry, Gail was employed by Emory Air Freight, United Airlines, and Air France as a freight sales specialist. This also provided an opportunity for the couple to travel the world, which they did until Larry’s untimely death in 1982 in an industrial accident.

Gail returned to Oconomowoc in 1990 to serve as live-in caregiver to her aging mother until her death. Then she worked several years at Olympia Resort before moving to her final home at Berkshire Senior Apartments.

A quiet, involved person, Gail prided herself on being organized. She did beautiful needlepoint, loved crossword puzzles, collected U.S.

coins, was a member of the Oconomowoc Historical Society and secretary treasurer of the local AARP. She loved her life and friends at the Berkshire and enjoyed doing things to make life more enjoyable for everyone.

Gail is preceded in death by her husband and parents. There were no children. Surviving family include two sisters, Alice (the late Anderson) Brown of Middleton and Meredith (Glen) Kitchen of Colorado Springs, Colo., and a brother, Daniel (Nancy) Taylor of Oconomowoc.

Her final days were peaceful and comfortable, thanks to the exceptional attention and care by the AngelsGrace staff.

No formal services are scheduled at this time. A remembrance event will take place this summer. Memorial contributions to AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc are appreciated.
