Marian R. Fulop
Marian Rita Fulop (Schmidt), 95, formerly of Oconomowoc, passed away after a full life on Feb. 10 at Northern Lights Health Care Center in Washburn. Marian spent over 50 years as a volunteer at charitable thrift stores, including St. Joan of Arc in Okauchee, St. Vincent de Paul in Oconomowoc, and recently at ABC Thrift Shop in Washburn. Her dedication to helping others, and her ready smile, will be deeply missed.
Marian had a great head for numbers, and at age 25 was in charge of the Federal Reserve account at M& I Bank in Milwaukee. She married and became a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her strong work ethic rubbed off on her children, and served as an inspiration for excellence.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank; parents, and two brothers. She is survived by her beloved children: son, Donald Fulop and his wife, Maryann, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughter, Mary Nowakowski and her husband, Jim, of Washburn; five grandchildren: Brian Fulop of Indialantic, Fla., Jill Manasco of Redmond, Wash., Jeff (Jessica) Elliott of Madison, Greg Elliott and Rick Elliott of Oconomowoc; brother, George (Molly) Schmidt of Appleton;, great-grandchildren Autumn Fulop, Scott and Leah Manasco; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
