Phyllis Ann Hildebrandt
Phyllis Ann Hildebrandt, age 76 of Wales, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, February 26, 2017. She was born on May 3, 1940, in Stratford to Nicholas and Veronica (Bornbach) Benz.
She married the love of her life, Gayland A. Hildebrandt, on April 12, 1958, in Rozeville. Phyllis was a member of St. Paulís Parish in Genesee Depot. Together Phyllis and Gayland raised a loving and cherished family. Phyllis loved many things: gardening, flowering, photography, woodworking, pottery, painting, crafts of any variety. But mostly, she loved her family.
She loved her children and her grandchildren. She will always be remembered by the family as a giving and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Gayland Hildebrandt of Wales; her children, Kim (Judy) Hildebrandt of Dousman, Cheryl (Larry) Tischer of Waukesha, Kevin (Joyce) Hildebrandt of Oconomowoc, Terry Berg of Wales, James (Elizabeth) Hildebrandt of Sheboygan, Gina (Jack) Stoner of Dousman, Duncan Hildebrandt of Wales and Angela (Patrick) Nehring of Wautoma; 19 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Marion Hensler of Marshfield, Lucy Palecek of Milwaukee, Ruth (Edward) Hencik of Menomonee Falls, Judy (Lee) Tritz of Wisconsin Rapids and Robert (Cecelia) Benz of Mosinee; and other relatives and many good friends.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Nicholas and Veronica Benz; and her brothers, Lester and Frank.
A memorial Mass for Phyllis will be celebrated on Friday, March 3, at St. Paulís Catholic Church, S38W31602 Wern Way, Waukesha, at 11:30 a.m., with Fr. Dan Volkert officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass.
