Jean Ellen Cisler
Jean Ellen Cisler of Palmyra died surrounded by her family on February 26, 2017. She was 82 years old.
Jean is survived by her children, Michael Cisler (Sarah) of Neenah, David Cisler (Susan) of Norway, Wis., Catherine Hermanson (Gary) of Mukwonago, and Steven Cisler (Joye) of Franklin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry G. Cisler; her daughter, Denise M. Schilling; her grandson, Jeremy Hermanson; and her great-granddaughter, Grace Anne Cisler.
Jean was born on October 26, 1934, to William and Evelyn Rogahn. After many years of raising a family and volunteering at church and community organizations, she took the position of accountant at the Norris Adolescent center. This grew to become business manager for the organization. Throughout this time she continued a strong involvement with volunteer work. She retired in 2000, but remained active reading to children at the library, working with the local historical society, writing articles for the local paper, and teaching children at her church, Kettle Moraine Community Church.
Although justifiably proud of this career, Jeanís greatest joy is her family of five children, 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren (so far), as well as her church family.
A funeral is scheduled for Friday, March 3, at Kettle Moraine Community Church, W341-S6480 Highway 59, North Prairie. Visitation will be at the church from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., with the funeral at 6 p.m. A reception dinner will follow in the church hall. A private burial will be held on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kettle Moraine Community Church.
