Jerry C. Blanton, age 75, of Neosho, passed away Friday, March 3, 2017, at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc with his loving family by his side.

Jerry was born on September 14, 1941, in Crandon, to Corbin and Alice Blanton. He was united in marriage to Kathryn "Kit" Hoth on March 4, 1961, at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Brookfield. For the past 27 years, Jerry and his son Tom owned and operated TNT Systems Inc. in Ashippun. They are best known for manufacturing the Jaws of Life. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an all-around avid outdoors sportsman.

He also enjoyed tinkering around on antique cars and, most of all, the time he spent with his family.

Jerry is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Kathy "Kit" Blanton; loving children, Timothy (Lisa) of Neosho, Thomas (Amy) of Merton and Tracy Marie Blanton of Oconomowoc; cherished grandchildren, Corbin (Andrea), Shane, Caleb and Aubrey Blanton, all of Oconomowoc, and Reese Kolander of Neosho; and one great-granddaughter that is anxiously expected this month; and his dear sister, Patricia Neal of Crandon. He is further survived by three nephews, Rick, David and Stacy Shampo; among other loved relatives and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and parents-in-law; sister, Shirley Shampo; and brother-in-law, Willard Neal.

Jerry’s family will have a future Mass said in Jerry’s memory at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Neosho. At this time, no formal services will be held.
