Michael John Bernicky
Michael, a lifelong Waukesha resident, left this earthly life too soon on March 12, 2017, at the age of 61.
Michael was born to the late Paul (Jan) Bernicky and Mary McGoun (John, deceased), the first of seven.
During Mike’s early teenage years he worked hard and proud at Fred Gygax Farm (current site of Waukesha West High School). Mike loved working on the farm with his brothers Mark and John, which provided them with many entertaining stories and . The long hours taught him a very strong work ethic that he carried through his adult years as a proud restaurant owner.
Mike will be sadly missed by his wife, Jeanne (nee Jahnke); his loving children, Bobby (Leti Lemus), Tom (Jenny), Tim and Jessie (Matt) Ripplinger; and four lovable grandsons, Maddox, Markos, Mason and Cole.
He is further survived by his brothers and sisters, Mark (Shari), John (deceased), Paul (Laurie), Karen (Shane) Squires, Lynn (Lee) Schuster and Julie (Michael) Meehean; in-laws, John and Eleanor Jahnke; sister-in-laws, Anne Foti (Mike Hein) and Bonnie Kralovec; brother-in-law, Johnny Jahnke; and a multitude of loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held today, March 21, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha. Service to immediately follow. Private burial at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association or American Cancer Society.
