Arthur Amundson found eternal peace on Friday, March 31, 2017, at the age of 79.
He was the loving husband for 55 years to Barbara; cherished dad of Jeff (Susan) Amundson, Lorie (Peter) Alioto and Donna (Andy) Wolf; beloved grandpa of Ashley, Nick, Cody, Ryan, Wynter and Scott; great-grandpa of Caleb and Domonick; devoted to his dog Teddy; brother of Mary Ann (Richard) Bolam; and brother-in-law of Charlene (Eddy) Oszusik and Cheri (Tony) Pease. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Arthur served our country in the U.S. Army in Germany for five years. He then served the City of Waukesha for 27 years with the police department. After retiring from the police department; he worked as a security officer at the Waukesha Memorial Hospital and Waukesha Public Library.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 5, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha, from 4 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., continuing with a celebration of Artís life at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Artís name may be made to Waukesha Humane Society (www.hawspets.org).
