Genevieve (Gen) Huelse passed away April 9, 2017, after a long illness. She was 85. Gen was born Genevieve J. Schultz on August 11, 1931, in Waukesha. Her parents were Stanley and Edith Schultz.
She has two surviving sisters, Jocelyn (Nonie) and Susan. She graduated from Waukesha High in 1948.
Gen married the late Kenneth (Ken) O. Huelse in April 11, 1953, and resided in Waukesha. Gen and Ken moved to a home they designed and built in the Village of Lac La Belle in 1964. They had a son, Greg, born in 1954, and daughter, Karen, born in 1956. In early 1965, they had another son, Kurt. They all currently live in Watertown.
Gen was a homemaker, crafter, reader, avid flower and vegetable gardener, and competitive bowler with many trophies to her credit. She would have loved to be an archeologist.
Gen is survived by her three children, two sisters and several nieces and nephews.
There will not be a memorial service mourning her death at this time.
Greg, Karen & Kurt will have an “I Remember Mama” party celebrating her life in personal stories and photos on or near her birthday this summer.
