George F. Miller

George F. MillerGeorge F. Miller of North Lake passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the age of 84.

He was a retired plant manager from BALAX and owned and operated his own electrical business. He served on the North Lake Fire Department for over 65 years and as president for over 35 years. In addition, George was a member of the Hartland American Legion Post #294, he belonged to the Land O Lakes and was inducted into the LOL Hall of Fame, charter member of the North Lake Management Association, former member of the Town of Merton Board and the Waukesha County Park and Planning Commission.

Longtime faithful and active member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, where he ushered, sang in the choir and served on the buildings and grounds and finance committees. He was proud to have been an active member of the Lake Country Racquet Club since 1978.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Pat (nee Nehls); his children, Debra (Dean) Zerbst, Laurel Vasquez, Mark (Caryn) Miller, Tina (Brian) Jeager and Mike Miller; his grandchildren, Alex, Markus, Jennifer, Paul, Kyle, Brooke, Tierney, Trenton, Stephanie, Melissa and Jeremiah; and his great-grandchildren, Julian, Jayden, Hailey, Michael, Arianna, Owen and Carter.

He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Marie and his sister Patsy (Dettmann) Miller.

Visitation was at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Highway 83, North Lake, on Friday, April 28, from 3 p.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 6 p.m. followed by a reception.

Final rest will be in St. Clare Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Angels-Grace Hospice or the North Lake Recreation Club.
