James Anders Pearce|
Jan. 1,1928 – April 30, 2017
Jim was born and raised in Waukesha. He lived many years in the Chicago area, and then later retired to West Chester, Pa., and Austin, Texas, to live near his grandchildren. Yet, he always considered Waukesha his home.
Jim enjoyed a career in the group insurance and pension business. His time off was spent with his family, and he loved going to northern Wisconsin where he spent endless hours driving the boat for waterskiing.
He built a canoe in his backyard in Waukesha and later had a small sailboat. He was even a state champion swimmer in high school. In addition to his love for watersports, Jim loved dogs. He often had two or three at a time.
Jim married Jean Sabin after meeting on a blind date at the University of Wisconsin. They were proud Badgers. He was a loving father to his two daughters, Catherine (Katie) and Carolyn.
Jim was predeceased by his brothers Bill and Lee; his wife Jean; and his grandson Mark Felice.
He is survived by his daughters, Katie Felice (Steve) and Carolyn Pearce; his two granddaughters, Jeana Felice Lowry and Lauren Felice; and three great-grandchildren, Addison, Evan, and Cameron Lowry.
A graveside service will be held for Jim at 4 p.m. Friday, May 19, at Prairie Home Cemetery.
